Life is difficult and challenging. Whether it's negative thoughts, worries, unhealthy boundaries, or trying to work through life's stressors and transitions. Something unique about my approach to therapy is my use of humor while being direct in challenging negative thoughts and my use of creative interventions and activities.Middle and High School is a difficult time- trying to find out who you are, navigating societal norms, and peer pressures. Sometimes teens just need to know that there is one person that is unequivocally on their side and doesn't have previous opinions or experiences with them. My role is to listen, validate, and teach skills to help them be their best self.When working with children, I use play therapy for ages 3-10. Play is the natural means of communication for children and provides therapy in the most developmentally appropriate way. Child-centered play therapy (further explained in my website) addresses and helps with a wide range of concerns and situations that your child is experiencing.
