Tammy Kushner, Psy.D., graduated from Nova Southeastern University with her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology and completed her doctoral residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base, TX. She later went on to complete the Management Development Program at Harvard Graduate School of Education. Dr. Kushner is the Executive Associate Dean for the Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice at Nova Southeastern University. She also proudly served the Broward County Sheriff’s Office for 21 years as an Employee Assistance Program psychologist as well as a mental health consultant on the SWAT/HBT. Dr. Kushner’s private practice consists of treatment for adults. She treats individuals as well as couples and her special interests are in the clinical areas of depression, anxiety and marital therapy. Dr. Kushner is a former Major in the United States Air Force where she served as the Commander of the Mental Health Flight as well as the chief mental health consultant of Hostage Negotiations. Dr. Kushner is married, has two daughters and enjoys spending time with her family.
