Dr Bilkhu has worked in the field of mental health for over 15 years across many specialisms, working with children, adolescents and adults with severe or enduring mental health problems. His special interests include self-harm, developmental trauma and PTSD, eating disorders, relationship and attachment difficulties. The best thing about being a clinical psychologist is being able to utilise his knowledge and skills to help a person or family experiencing difficulties reach their desired goal, within the therapeutic relationship and work. He really enjoys seeing the people develop more adaptive ways of coping with their difficulties and lead a life that is more meaningful and worth living. he is passionate about the role psychologists can have in helping people with mental health problems.
