Dr Stephanie Lateo is a Consultant Dermatologist with over 20 years of experience in the speciality. She treats adults and children over 12 months old. In addition to general dermatology, Dr Lateos work focuses on the management of pre-cancerous lesions and skin cancer, mole checks and skin surgery.Dr Lateo has been a UK consultant dermatologist since 2005, having completed her Specialist Training in Newcastle upon Tyne. She has carried out clinical research and held posts in Dermatology at two other leading UK teaching hospitals: Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge and Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham.Dr Lateo held NHS consultant posts in Durham and Darlington Acute Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (2005-2010) where she was designated as lead clinician of the Specialist Skin Cancer MDT. From 2010-2014, she was appointed consultant at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She ran the 2 week wait skin cancer clinic at Basildon and Southend University Hospitals and was on the East of England Deanery Regional Training Committee for Dermatology.
