Biography
I strive to create a warm compassionate space where clients can speak their truth, examine what is important to them at their life stage and practice living authentically and fully, congruent with their values and goals. I am active therapist who collaborates with clients to explore where they may be feeling "stuck" in their life and how they can find greater ease.
I am passionate about serving both college students and adults who present with stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, life transitions, grief and loss, self-esteem struggles, and career and academic issues. My approach integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal process and mindfulness.
I completed my APA-accredited predoctoral internship (2008-2009) and postdoctoral residency (2009-2010) at UC Davis. Prior to starting a private practice, I spent my career working in university counseling centers such as UC Davis, CSUN, Indiana University and Cornell University. Throughout my career, I have supervised clinicians, offered trainings and workshops, facilitated therapy groups, taught academic courses and published peer-reviewed journal articles. These experiences have enriched my practice.
I now find joy working with adult clients across the lifespan, sharing in their story and joining them as they move with intention toward what they find most honest and connecting.
