Biography
I am a licensed psychologist and creative arts therapist with over 25 years of clinical experience. My counseling focus is strength-based and emphasizes the positive resources and resiliency within each person. Your work with me will be a gentle process of growth and personal development based on a collaborative relationship. By considering your own emotional intelligence and unique personality styles, we can develop insights and create strategies to address current concerns and build potential toward optimal development and personal well-being.
I work with individuals (children through adults), couples, and families with various issues regarding relationships, anxiety, depression, trauma and personality disorders. I have helped clients on significant issues with school, career, religion and addictions. Other specialties are psychological testing/evaluations, emotional intelligence assessment, music therapy, and supervision for professional counselors.
I am currently the president and co-founder of the International Society for Emotional Intelligence My research and workshops in EI have been presented internationally and published in journal articles and books. As an associate professor & program director at Queen College I train and supervise professional counselors.
