In 1997, Mr Shalom Srirangam qualified from the University of Manchester. He then completed his basic surgical training in the North West of England. Following a period of urological research, from 2003 to 2008 he undertook his specialist urology training in the Manchester rotation In 2008, he also studied at the European School of Urology Fellowship in Endourology/Stone disease at the University Hospital Leuven, Belgium. Since January 2009, he has been a Consultant Urological Surgeon at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.
