Description

Mr Sonpreet Rai is a highly qualified Consultant Urological and Robotic Surgeon. His main clinical areas of interest are cancer treatment and management, specifically for renal, bladder, and prostate conditions. He also holds the position of Cancer Lead for Urology at his NHS Trust. Mr Rai has a broad range of expertise in managing general urological conditions. He sees patients with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and urinary tract infections (UTI), kidney stones, testicular pain, blood in the urine (haematuria) or semen (haematospermia), PUJ Obstruction, testicular pain. He also treats incontinence and erectile dysfunction. Mr Rai will also see patients who are not experiencing any symptoms but are concerned about prostate cancer and wish to undergo a prostate health check. Mr Rai graduated with honours in Medicine and Surgery from St. Bartholomews and The Royal London School of Medicine & Dentistry. He completed his Specialist Urological training on the Yorkshire rotation training programme, receiving the prestigious Gordon Bryden Medal for outstanding academic work at the annual Yorkshire Urology Audit Group meeting. Mr Rai also successfully completed a year-long subspecialty laparoscopic training program in Renal Cancer at St Jamess University Hospital in Leeds. He went on to secure a highly coveted Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCSEng) accredited Senior Clinical Fellowship in Robotic Surgery for both Bladder Cancer and Renal cancer at the world-renowned Guys and St Thomas Hospital in London.
