I am a consultant vascular surgeon specialising in varicose veins and repair of inguinal hernias under local anaesthetic. I regularly perform keyhole procedures for varicose veins which avoids scars and can be done under local anaesthetic. Techniques I use include laser and radiofrequency treatment of varicose veins and outpatient ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy. I large part of my work includes treat patients with narrowed arteries which can lead to claudication ( pain on walking), those suffering from mini strokes (TIAs) and patients with aortic aneurysms. I am an expert on EVAR or stenting for aortic aneurysms, a minimally invasive technique which involves inserting stents via the groin arteries to seal an aneurysm.
