Dr. Jantunen received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota. Her clinical psychology degree is from Nova Southeastern University. She completed an advanced practicum placement in Medical Health Psychology. Her Internship and Post Doctoral Fellowship were completed at the Assessment & Treatment Centers, Inc., Centers for Neurology and Orthopedic Pain Management, and Aventura Neurologic Associates at Aventura Hospital. She completed the basic-advanced hypnotism training and examination at the Omni Hypnosis Center, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, and is recognized as a certified hypnotist. She is an Active Medical Staff member at JFK Medical Center, Atlantis, FL. Dr. Jantunen is also a member of the Florida Psychology Association and National Academy of Neuropsychology. Dr. Jantunen works with neuropsychological assessment and psychotherapy of child, adult, and geriatric outpatients suffering from a wide range of emotional and neurological disorders. Her background includes assessment and treatment of closed head injuries, social security disability determination, learning disability, pain and stress related disorders with a special emphasis on assessment and treatment of addiction, depression, and anxiety disorders. She is interested in assisting patients to better cope with a variety of mental health issues by using deep muscle relaxation training, self-hypnosis, behavioral modification, and existential/cognitive behavioral therapy.
