I have also undertaken a wide range of placements including: • Prosthetic rehabiliation • Community forensic mental health • Neurological oncology • Older adults community mental health • Recovery college My degree focused on anatomy and physiology, occupational therapy practice, professional development and context of practice; this included knowledge of best practice guidelines, relevant legislation and the recent NHS restructure. Throughout my training I have been furthering my professional development through participation in informal in-service training, formal external training and contribution to the OTNews (UK newsletter). I have also been developing managerial skills through coordinating and participating in interviews for therapy assistants and supervision of therapy assistants and education of students on placement. I am fully HCPC registered and a member of the College of Occupational Therapists. I am currently engaged in the process of registration with the New Zealand board of Occupational Therapy and looking for opportunties to work and develop my skills there.
