Dr. Jegasothy graduated from Harvard and Yale Universities, and founded Miami Skin Institute in upscale Coral Gables, Florida in 2000. She specializes in nonsurgical Aesthetic Dermatology and has received numerous top doctor awards by the press, colleagues, and patients. As Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Miami Frost Department of Dermatology, Dr. Jegasothy contributes to her Dermatology training program and lectures at medical conferences locally, nationally, and internationally several times yearly. Dr. Jegasothy has been on the Editorial Panels for Aesthetic Dermatology and Skin & Aging for a number of years. She currently contributes original clinical articles to top Aesthetic Medical journals such as Modern Aesthetics® and Practical Dermatology®, featuring her novel aesthetic procedures and protocols, especially aesthetic injections, skin tightening, face, neck and body lifting, body contouring, and noninvasive fat reduction procedures. Dr. Jegasothy has served on various task forces of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), and is a valued consultant for institutional investors and venture capital firms interested in the burgeoning aesthetic medical business arena. Most recently, Dr. Jegasothy co-founded a successful online skincare line, MiamiMD®. Dr. Jegasothy also is a frequent guest on local talk radio, and is the source of innumerable quotations in the local and national fashion press.
