Dr Ekaterina (Katya) Burova is a dermatologist with a private practice at HCA Harley Street Clinic 16 Devonshire Street.Her main interests are in the following areas:General DermatologySkin Cancers and Skin SurgeryPaediatric DermatologyAcneRosaceaUrticariaDr Burova gained her medical qualification from the First Moscow Medical School, I. M. Sechenov (now I.M. Sechenov First Moscow Medical University). She undertook higher specialist training in dermatology and venereology at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at Sechenovs First Moscow Medical School, Moscow. She also holds diplomas in Paediatric Dermatology, Clinical Homoeopathy, and Clinical Hypnosis. Her PhD theses were in microbiology, epidemiology, and dermatology.In 2006, she was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (London) and became an associate professor in 2019. She has also previously been a Visiting Lecturer and later a Visiting Professor (Emeritus) at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, as well as an invited speaker at national and international conferences and congresses. Dr Burova has a number of publications to her name, including three book chapters. She is also on the editorial boards of the Russian Journal of Skin and Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Medexpert (Tatarstan). Additionally, she is a co-founder of the Russian charity Provision of medical and social care and rehabilitation of children with severe trauma and its consequences.
