Panicos is a Clinical Senior Lecturer and Consultant in Maternal and Fetal Medicine at King's College London (KCL) and King's College Hospital (KCH), with over 10 years of experience in the field. He holds a PhD and an MSc in Fetal Medicine and Prenatal Genetics from University College London (UCL). His current research interests include prenatal therapy for Sickle Cell Disease and the immunology of pregnancy, using advanced techniques such as single cell sequencing and cell biology. He has secured funding from various prestigious organizations, such as the Wellcome Trust, the Academy of Medical Sciences, the NIHR, and the Fetal Medicine Foundation. He is also a passionate educator and mentor, supervising PhD, BSc, and MSc students and collaborating with renowned experts in his field. His mission is to improve the health and well-being of mothers and babies through innovative research and clinical practice.
