London, United Kingdom
I am a consultant psychiatrist specialised in general adult psychiatry with the professional experience of working in the UK since 2008. In addition to my clinical practice, I have been involved in research programs through my doctorate studies and I am a co-author of a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals. I attended training courses at Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London and at Charite, Medical University in Berlin. My clinical experience covers the breadth of mental health difficulties, including amongst other mood and anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, obsessive compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. In my practice I try to utilise variety of psychotherapeutic approaches, including elements of cognitive-behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy and compassion focused therapy. I am also a qualified music therapist. My approach is patient-centred and individualised. I am passionate about relational psychiatry as well as impacts of trauma on physical and mental health with focus on building personal resilience. I strongly believe that understanding patient’s unique experience through emphatic attunement and dialogue lies at the root of recovery.
