Dr Sandeep Kamath qualified as a doctor in Bangalore, India in 2000. He undertook his specialty training at Bangalore Medical College, India and continued his dermatology training in the UK at the Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend. He has been a consultant at the Princess of Wales and Neath Port Talbot Hospitals since 2017, and is currently the lead clinician overseeing laser services in the Dermatology Department at Princess of Wales Hospital.He is experienced in all aspects of general dermatology, and his special interests include skin cancers, inflammatory skin conditions and laser dermatology.He regularly engages in teaching and training local general practitioners (GPs), trainee GPs, specialist GPs, nurses, pharmacists and medical students on a broad range of dermatology topics including eczema, mole checks (dermoscopy) and laser dermatology.He is member of the following organisations: Royal College of Physicians, British Association of Dermatology, British Medical Laser Association, British Medical Association, British Society of Medical Dermatology, and the UK Dermatology Clinical Trials Network.He is currently involved in the ‘Managing Psoriasis in the Real World clinical trial (PSOREAL).
