I am a Consultant in Medical Oncology with a dedicated specialist interest in the personalised management of early and advanced colorectal cancer. I am a lead Principal Investigator and Co-investigator in a number of national as well as international clinical trials. I am a Chief Investigator in an ongoing UK immunotherapy trial for patients with advanced colorectal cancer. I collaborate with a number of colleagues, especially liver surgeons and in areas where cyberknife might be a possibility. I have an interest in the liver directed approach e.g. selective internal radiotherapy (SIRT), irinotecan beads (DEBIRI), etc. I am a member of the Peritoneal tumour Board MDT at the Chrsitie Hospital dealing with colorectal peritoneal tumour metastasis ( one of only 2 such Boards nationally) My other interest is in the diagnosis and treatment of cancers from unknown primary with possible GI origin. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London. I have a keen interest in education for future generation of medical oncologists and am the Training Program Director for Medical Oncology in the Northwest of England.
