I currently work as an independent occupational therapist. I have wide range of skills and experience in a number of clinical areas, including housing adaptations, equipment provision, seating & postural management and rehabilitation. In my past senior roles I have worked as an expert witness in the medico-legal profession, in both rehabilitation and community services within social care. I am highly skilled in completing complex housing assessments for clients with a range of neurological conditions, mental health conditions and musculoskeletal injuries. I am able to make recommendations for housing adaptations and write concise housing reports with robust clinical reasoning. I worked extensively with visually impaired clients and those with an acquired brain injury and where behavioural difficulties are present. I also focus on completing detailed seating and postural assessments with pressure management as a key factor influencing the equipment recommendations. I also have extensive knowledge on specialist equipment for a number of conditions including neurological conditions, amputees, visual impairments, and spinal and acquired brain injuries. I have extensive experience in assessing and setting up care packages and liaising and working with care providers to ensure they are following standards.
