Hi, I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in California. I received my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in Minnesota, and I have been practicing at the county mental and behavioral health level for seven years. I have worked with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults who struggle with mental and behavioral challenges that negatively impact their mood, self-esteem, relationships, and daily functioning.In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then progress to the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions. If we don't understand ourselves, we are not going to manage ourselves very well.I believe that if we can learn to choose to be curious about ourselves and others, instead of defaulting to judgment, it creates an environment in which we can begin to learn and grow. One of my greatest strengths as a provider, is that I have done this work myself, so that I am able to suspend judgment and meet each client with curiosity, empathy, and care.
