I qualified in Dentistry in 1990 and Medicine in 1997. I was awarded the Fellowship in Dental Surgery (RCS Edin) in 1994 and the Fellowship in Surgery (RCS Eng) in 1999. I received my specialist training in the South West of England, was a craniofacial fellow in Birmingham Children’s Hospital before completing my paediatric maxillofacial fellowship in The Royal Melbourne Children’s Hospital, Australia. I was appointed as a consultant in 2005 and with specialist areas of interest including adult and paediatric facial deformity and dental implantology. My NHS consultant practice is based at the University Hospital Birmingham, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Solihull Hospital. I am an honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Birmingham and I am the Training Program Director for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery higher surgical trainees in the West Midlands. I am an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
