Basically, my approach is to get to the issue and prescribe a solution. I don't want to go to my car mechanic and have him ask me, "What do you think is wrong with your car...how would you fix it." If I knew what was wrong and how to fix it, I wouldn't have to pay a mechanic, I'd be fixing it my self. When I go therapy I ask my therapist to tell me what they see and give me some tools. After all, the goal is to get you through and out of therapy. ASSESSMENTS AND EVALUATIONSIt is the combination of education and life experiences that enable me to work with a diversity of issues. Besides a MFT degree, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology...it is having personally gone through life's challenges, and have experienced what treatments work successfully...stuff that you can't learn in classes.
