My name is Raven Navarrete, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I predominately work with adolescents, men's issues, and mood disorders; however, I am happy to work with clients of all ages and backgrounds. I have worked with children and adolescents for many years as a therapist and also before my clinical training. I am okay with big emotions as well as silence. I am comfortable working with all ages and backgrounds and will strive to help my clients feel safe and understood.I am constantly balancing unconditional positive regard for my clients with a healthy amount of confrontation. I often work from a psychodynamic or existential therapeutic approach. At times, however, I believe it's best to utilize interventions and tools from any relevant orientation if helpful.I will always try to be kind and compassionate in my communication while tactfully and gently confronting as needed.
