Biography
I specialize in child and adolescent psychology, as well as early childhood, perinatal mental health and reproductive psychology. I am passionate about working with clients from birth to young adulthood and their families, and supporting adults who face challenges during the transition to parenthood. I strive to bring empathy and humor to the therapy and assessment process. Clients can expect me to be curious about and accepting of their experiences as I support them in actively working towards change. I am sensitive to issues related to diversity, disability, immigration, foster care and adoption, and welcome all to my practice.
With children and adolescents, I provide therapy for issues related to trauma, depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, attachment, identity development, immigration and acculturation, relationships with others and neurodevelopmental differences. I am trained in child development and school psychology and provide psychological assessment for problems related to learning, attention, development, neurocognition, personality and social-emotional processes.
With adults, I work primarily with those who face issues related to perinatal depression and anxiety, fertility challenges (including grief and loss), difficulties within caregiver-child relationships, experiences as a fosteror adoptive parent, experiences with the NICU or high-risk pregnancy and being the caregiver of a child with developmental difficulties.
I have a special interest in immigration evaluations and am passionate about supporting clients who are asylum seekers.
