Mr Super is one of the senior upper GI Surgeons in the Upper GI Surgery Dept at University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB) where he has been a consultant for 24 years (since 1999). He has one of the UK's largest practices of gastric band surgery (8000 cases completed) and also laparoscopic anti-reflux and hiatus repair surgery (1900 cases completed), most of which he carries out as day case surgery. His other main interest is in laparoscopic cholecystectomy - laparoscopic surgery for gallstones and abdominal wall hernia surgery.
