About Dr. Onyekachi EzeibeDr. Ezeibe attended Howard University in Washington, D.C. where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She then went on to earn a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Tufts University in Boston, MA before returning back to Howard University for her medical degree. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Meharry Medical College where she served as chief resident and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. As a child of Nigerian immigrants, Dr. Ezeibe, has long understood the value of cultural competency. She understands the importance of patient-centered care and multiculturalism in healthcare, particularly in obstetrical care. Additionally, her medical school and residency training further ingrained the value of diversity and representation in medicine. She is dedicated to serving underserved communities and fighting to improve Black maternal health outcomes. Her clinical interests include general obstetrics, contraception counseling, comprehensive gynecology, adolescent gynecology, menopause, management of fibroids through minimally invasive surgery, and robotics gynecologic surgery. Dr. Ezeibe creates an open and safe environment for her patients. She believes that each patient should have access to the very best quality of care. She also ensures that all of her patients feel empowered to advocate for themselves and engage in shared decision-making with their doctor. Outside of the workplace, Dr. Ezeibe enjoys international travel and reading. She enjoys running, with a goal of completing her first half marathon soon. She is also an avid brunch-lover and loves exploring the many cuisines that the DMV has to offer. Dr. Ezeibe is a compassionate physician and steadfast advocate for maternal and women’s health.
