Dr Nemesha Desai is a Consultant Dermatologist at the St. Johns Institute of Dermatology, Guys and St. Thomas NHS Trust in addition to establishing and running a large tertiary clinic for patients with complex acne and hidradenitis at Guys Hospital. Her interests include general and medical dermatology, acne, eczema, psoriasis, hidradenitis, skin cancer, moles and medical education. Dr Desai completed her medical training with honours at Kings College London, speciality training in dermatology in London with sub-speciality experience in medical dermatology at the University of Miami and postgraduate training in medical education at the University of London. She was awarded CCT dermatology in Nov 2009.Dr Desai is a clinical lecturer at Kings College London, lead for GP education at St. Johns Institute of Dermatology and BAD (British Association of Dermatologists) education subcommittee representative for GP education. Her clinical service works closely with the department of genetics and molecular medicine at Kings College London assessing genetic factors in hidradenitis.
