I am a registered Pediatric Occupational Therapist in the Philippines since 2016 until present and also an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist in UK since June 2022. I have always loved working with children and engage with their families. My years of experience was mostly spent at Cagayan de Oro as I worked full time OT there for 5 years and 3 months. Recently, I moved to Cebu to enhance my skills and work alongside different people with the same passion for Occupational Therapy. Initially, when I was a student, I liked working with adult physical dysfunction clients. However, when I graduated, there were minimal job offers inclined to the said setting in our city. I took the chance to apply in a pediatric setting so I may advance my professional growth. When I started working as a Pediatric OT, I have learned to love the this setting and the wonders of it. Over the years of pediatric experience, I was exposed to different cases such as ASD, ADHD and Specific Learning Disorders. I was able to hone skills needed in my line of work such as building good rapport, keen on observing behaviors, sharp witted towards clinical decisions and judgements, being compassionate, being able to multitask and being a good team player towards different professions of the team. I enjoyed working as a Pedia OT since it helped me not only professional growth but also, personal growth as well since it brought out a lot of new skills in me.
