I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor, offering empathetic and confidential counselling to individual clients and couples around N1. I am also a qualified clinical Supervisor and adoption support counsellor.Counselling can help you to understand your life and relationships, and draw upon your own resources to find a way through. Our work may be focussed and shorter term, or address long-standing issues over a longer time-frame. It is collaborative, arising out of an equal relationship between therapist and client: I do not use a couch, make diagnoses, judge you or tell you what to do. Sometimes we will look at past events to help us to understand the present. For more details of how I work, please see my website. I am a Accredited member of the BACP, and fully comply with its Ethical Framework. I hold a Professional Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the Mary Ward Centre, a Diploma in Relational Mindfulness from the Karuna Institute, a Certificate in Working with Couples and other Relationships, and a Certificate in Adoption Support Counselling. I have undertaken further training in integrative counselling/contemporary psychotherapy at the Minster Centre. All of my therapeutic work is underpinned and supported by a deep interest in mindfulness, ongoing personal supervision and further professional learning.I became a counsellor after my own very positive experience of being a client in long-term therapy, which made lasting changes to how I saw and felt about my life.I have many years of experience of working closely with people in difficult or distressing situations: before re-training as a counsellor, I had a long career as a barrister in private practice in London.
