Practice InformationMerit Psychology Group is woman owned psychological group practice. We offer comprehensive services to help you start to finish with your therapeutic journey. We conduct psychological and school-based assessments with kids, tweens, teens, and adult clients (ages 4+). We also provide talk therapy, parenting therapy, and occupational therapy services for teens, young adults, and adults (ages 0+). Group therapy and relational/couples therapy are provided for our adult clients (ages 18+). We work with complicated and not so complicated cases. We are LGBTQia+ affirming, trauma informed and attachment based in our approaches and work with populations who are neurodiverse as well as neurotypical. We are licensed in California, Washington, Arizona, & South Carolina. We practice telehealth therapy services in California, Washington, Arizona & South Carolina. Merit Psychology Group aims to accurately assess and treat clients based on their individual goals and unique needs. Therapists at Merit Psychology Group are trained in evidence-based and empirically validated therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed therapies and interventions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Gottman Informed Therapy for couples treatment and solution-focused treatment. All therapists at Merit Psychology Group take a thoughtful and scientific approach to treating a variety of mental health conditions. These include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, and insomnia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger’s Disorder, gender dysphoria, developmental trauma, intergenerational trauma, chronic and acute medical conditions, life stress, life transitions, relationship strain, co-parenting and many more concerns.What are your practice's specialties?Merit Psychology Group therapists believe in taking an integrative, holistic, and data-driven approach to the care and treatment they provide to get the best possible outcomes for each person they see. Our therapists use behavioral, cognitive and trauma and attachment based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parent Child Intervention Therapy (PCIT), and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBC). We welcome children ages 0+, teens, tweens, families, couples, and those needing individual therapy ages 0-100. Why should I choose your practice?We know you have many choices to make when it comes to your mental health. Merit Psychology Group therapists believe in taking an integrative, holistic, and data-driven approach to the care and treatment they provide to get the best possible outcomes for each person they see. They also believe in whole person care which means we look at you as a sum of your experiences not as a list of symptoms or diagnoses. We work with you to gain skills to live your best life, not to change who you are or stigmatize you. How does payment work at your practice?We work with Spring Health and Lyra Health plans. Your services will be fully covered under those plans if you have a job that sponsors them. We are "out of network" with all other insurances. All clinicians have a set private pay rate of $250/session. We are happy to submit claims on your behalf directly to your insurance company but we also provide super bills for service so that you can also do this at your leisure. We can also help you understand your benefits during a brief consultation phone call. If these rates are a restriction we do ask that you speak with us directly as we do have limited spaces for sliding scale.
