Biography
Dr. Melanie Powell is a pediatric neuropsychologist, NC licensed psychologist, and nationally certified school psychologist. She specializes in providing strengths-based neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations, ADHD, learning disabilities, giftedness, and kindergarten readiness. Dr. Powell is the founder and managing psychologist of MindSpark, PLLC, where the mission is to cultivate children's natural talent and spark true potential. She has extensive training and pre- and post-doctoral experience working as a clinician and researcher at the Center for Clinical & Developmental Neuropsychology at the University of Georgia as well as at the Child Neuropsychology Clinic at the Medical College of Georgia. Her research has been published in professional journals and she has presented at national and international conferences. Dr. Powell also enjoys volunteering in groups focused on students with learning disabilities and cultural diversity.
