Dr. Marika Jeltema is a resident physician with the Family Medicine department at Providence St. Peter. Growing up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and continuing her education in Grand Rapids, Michigan cultivated her understanding of health as a whole with micro and macro determinants. Because of her passions for sustainability of healthcare and the environment she pursued and graduated with a degree for Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Health is something attained through partnership with providers and patients, as well as beyond the clinic and hospital walls. Listening to each patient’s unique story is vital.
