My practice focuses on the client in working collaboratively and creatively in a safe and confidential environment; a place to be heard and gain understanding without judgement where desired change, clarity or a different way forward can be explored.About me- My practice began as a Counsellor for a national cancer charity within a major NHS Essex hospital for over 7 years. This role included counselling outpatients and inpatients and their families, facilitating staff training, supervising clinical nurse specialists, facilitating critical incident debriefs, and supporting front-line staff and inpatients through the COVID-19 pandemic. Alongside this, I have worked as a schools Counsellor and with a regional cancer charity. Established in 2017, I now work solely from my private practice.My Integrative Approach- My training had a Psychodynamic focus where the past can be explored to help provide clues on the present while exploring the therapeutic relationship. I have a keen interest in the Transpersonal and working with the Inner Child. I offer the use of art, visualisation, objects and imagery, and working with the body to help explore issues at a deeper level.My Qualifications- BACP Accredited and Registered MemberLevel 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic CounsellingLevel 4 Diploma in Therapeutic CounsellingChild Protection modules 1 & 2Relational Trauma Therapy training with Merete Holm Brantbjerg- body-oriented therapy using psychomotor skills training to help explore past trauma patterns and resource us in the present.My fees- I charge £50 per 1-hour session.An initial session is £35 for 1 hour.On some occasions I may be able to offer a reduced fee so please ask if this is an important consideration and we can talk about this.I currently practice from a private residence in Billericay.
