Leigh Dobbs, APRN, MSN, FNP-BC is a board certified FNP with a decade of experience working with complex medical patients in the primary care setting. Although her official job title is Family Nurse Practitioner, her children have been known to tell their friends her job is “magic boo boo fixer.” She wishes she could’ve earned a degree at Hogwarts for that but attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst for undergraduate studies where she double degreed in Biology and Psychology. After college, she moved to Boston to complete her graduate studies. She earned a Master degree in Organizational and Corporate Communication at Emerson College and her RN and MSN/NP degrees at Simmons College. I believe that everyone should have access to excellent healthcare and deserve clinicians who not only hear what they are saying, but listen to them as well. I try to meet patients where they are in their healthcare journey and work together to overcome any barriers to their healthcare goals. What I really enjoy in primary care is teaching patients about their chronic conditions to empower them to control their health and health outcomes.
