Lauren Appiah, DNPc, MPH, MSN, FNP-C is a nurse practitioner accredited by American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Bowie State University in 2011. During her time as a nurse she obtained various skills in rehabilitation, critical care, trauma, psychiatric and cardiac nursing. She then went back to school obtaining a Master in Public Health in 2016, specializing in Epidemiology and Health Education Health Promotion. It was through this masters program she discovered a love for preventative medicine and sparked her interest in becoming a provider. She then enrolled at Maryville University and earned a Master of Science in Nursing in 2018. During her time as a provider, she has worked in Urgent Care and Retail health. As a lifelong learner, Lauren is enrolled at The Johns Hopkins University for Doctoral of Nursing Practice with a concentration in Executive Health Leadership. She hopes to utilize her extensive education and experiences to promote health wellness education within the underserved communities with community events. In addition to all of her professional achievements, her biggest title is mom to her lovely daughter.
