Worked in Psychiatric Intensive Care for 9 years before moving to manage prison health care and later to work as Consultant Nurse Responsible Clinician within secure hospitals. Executive Member of NAPICU (National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care and Low Secure Units) and Author of Prison Transfer Guidance for Prisoners to PICUs. Sits on editorial board for Journal of Psychiatric Intensive Care. Passionate about clinical career pathways for nurses and enjoys teaching at a range of universities in the south east for both undergraduate and post graduate health care professionals.
