Kshitij “KJ” Manchanda, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in providing individualized care to patients with conditions of the foot and ankle. His clinical interests include acute and chronic foot and ankle injuries, foot and ankle sports medicine, ankle arthritis and ankle replacements, tendon disorders, and minimally invasive foot and ankle reconstruction. Dr. Manchanda earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School, where he also performed his residency in orthopaedic surgery. He gained advanced training through a fellowship in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery at the Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute, where he was trained by physicians involved in caring for active patients from the Miami metropolitan area as well as from around the nation and the world. He was not only involved in the care of athletes at every level but also trained in the integration of new and improved technologies, including total ankle replacement and 3D-printed constructs to reconstruct the foot and ankle. He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021. Dr. Manchanda has presented and published widely, including contributing to the book Current Diagnosis and Treatments in Orthopedics. In 2020, he received the UTSW Department of Orthopaedic Surgery’s W. Brandon Carrell Distinguished Physician Award for Outstanding Patient Care.
