I’m Katie and I’m a warm, empathic and qualified counsellor, registered with the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I am also accredited. I offer individual counselling sessions to adults, couples and young people (16+). I believe wholeheartedly in the power of counselling and my aim is to establish a supportive environment where you feel able to explore whatever you’re experiencing so we can work through things together. Counselling provides you with an opportunity to learn, grow and develop so you can improve elements of your life. The space is yours for as long as you feel you need it. I have always been passionate about mental health; as well as private practice I have experience working for a Crisis Centre and a College. I am also a Counselling Tutor at Peter Symonds in Winchester, teaching Counselling to Level 4 students (degree-level).I am committed to offering a confidential and ethical service, and have regular supervision and attend relevant workshops / short courses to support my own knowledge and professional development. For couples, I offer a reduced initial assessment session. I offer both face to face appointments in a dedicated counselling suite in Basingstoke, as well as virtual sessions via Zoom / phone.
