I am an Occupational Therapist (OT) with a drive to make a positive contribution to the lives of others. Through my passion and competence based practice as an OT I not only find satisfaction in enhancing the well-being of individuals, but also promote Occupational Therapy as a valuable profession. I have previously worked within the adult learning disabilities community services. As an OT within this field of practice I had he opportunity to work with a range of complex cases ranging from individuals with Cerebral Palsy to individuals who lacked motivation for occupational participation. My knowledge and understanding developed through assessing and prescribing when required, a range of specialist equipment following my assessments of physical needs such a postural support and management. Each of my cases has allowed me to reflect and develop as a professional. I am excited for my future as a Occupational Therapy clinical practitioner.
