Kara Ann Dansby is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate located in Beaumont, TX. She supports the mental health of teenagers, young adults, and adults, many of whom are working through intense emotional experiences like recovery from traumatic experiences, adoption and childcare, grief after loss, and more. Her clients tend to begin therapy to combat overwhelming feelings of worthlessness, worry, and anxiety.    Kara takes an integrated approach to counseling, which means that she draws techniques from various therapy approaches for a comprehensive, individualized session with each client. She practices cognitive-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) as well as mindfulness therapy. She teaches clients coping strategies that can be useful in their lives as well as gives them an open space to talk about their feelings.    Kara earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and previously gained experience at a behavioral hospital supporting clients through a wide range of needs.
