As an Occupational Therapist I have a vast amount of experience and have worked in multiple different mental health settings. I have worked in the following settings; Learning disabilities, prisons, Psychiatric intensive care units (PICU), acute wards, eating disorders, forensic settings (low secure and medium secure). Where I have Provided both direct and indirect intervention regarding Occupational Performance and in particular the impact that sensory integration, environment and participation in meaningful activity can have on an individual. Interventions are delivered in various forms including assessment, analysis and interpretation, therapy, consultation, advice, staff training and facilitation; working within an interdisciplinary model in order to ensure that the inter-agency needs of clients are met.
