Mr K Sehat, MB ChB, FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based at the Nottingham University Hospital. His private practice is at Spire Nottingham Hospital and the Woodthorpe Hospital, Nottingham. Mr Sehat graduated in 1996 from the University of Bristol. Specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery was at Nottingham University Hospital, Derby Royal Infirmary and Wellington, New Zealand. He is on the General Medical Council Specialist Register, a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the British Orthopaedic Association. He is a former deputy director of surgery at Nottingham University Hospital. He specialises in surgery for the treatment of conditions of the adult knee and hip, employing advanced technologies and techniques for the best possible outcomes for patients. Severe arthritis of the knee is treated using computer aided surgery and ceramic coated implants for optimal accuracy and durability. Many other conditions of the knee can be treated with keyhole surgery (Arthroscopy). For severe hip arthritis, hip replacement surgery is performed with ceramic bearing technology for the best possible durability and techniques that minimise the possibility of complications.
