Every child needs a nurturing environment that allows them to grow and thrive as an adult; however, from childhood into adulthood there are times that adversity presents itself. The road can become rocky and sometimes stop with no apparent direction in which to travel. When the road is too bumpy and travel is difficult, a therapist can help by serving as guide and aid and walk with you until the road is safe again to travel on your own.I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults, though I have experience and welcome all age ranges. I am a trauma therapist and I utilize evidence based approaches including EMDR, attachment theory, and polyvagal theory. I also help with skill building as needed through the use of DBT.I employ an eclectic and holistic approach to counseling and tailor the interventions I use to the unique needs of the individual.
