My ideal client would be willing to build a therapeutic alliance to develop new skills and insights into their life, because they are the experts. I encourage clients to grow and implement change not only for our one-hour session, but in day-to-day life where change matters. I hope to work on a one-on-one basis with each client to ensure they have the tools they need and that work best for them as an individual. My approach to therapy is a caring, warm conversation focused on helping clients grow in different and creative ways.I specialize in working with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness-based counseling, and attachment theories in a relatable and more digestible context. I strive to be right beside each individual on their journey to increased mindfulness & growth.I believe that therapy is something that people need alongside whatever treatments they’re currently doing or starting to receive for their conditions. In my eyes, a collaborative approach to mental health when needed is the best way to go about treatment, because no one should settle with “almost” feeling better.
