I am a qualified Cognitive Analytic Therapist (www.acat.me.uk, full member since 2016). I love this form of therapy: it is an integrative, democratic and very practical synthesis of psychoanalytic and psychotherapeutic approaches.Recent trainings (2018-2019) have focussed on working with the body and I have integrated into my practice principles of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Cognitive Analytic Therapy and Embodiment. I find these very helpful in accessing and processing trauma which one way or another is so often a key component of therapy.I have specialist experience in bereavement and for 10 years I provided 1-1 support for clients of all ages through Cruse Bereavement Care, Richmond, as well as group facilitation for adult bereavement support groups. I also supervised for Cruse and for the joint Cruse/Samaritans 'Facing the Future' project for those bereaved through suicide.I offer sessions online via Zoom or face to face.
