Mr John (Jack) McAllister is an experienced general orthopaedic and lower limb surgeon who offers treatment for all orthopaedic conditions and particularly those of hip and knee. He qualified in medicine at the London Hospital in Whitechapel in 1983 and subsequent specialist surgical training was at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore where he gained extensive experience in many areas of orthopaedic surgery. John obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1990 and his FRCS (Orth) in 1997. He has carried out research and been actively involved in the teaching and training of juniors. During spare time he has worked as a ship’s doctor and in aeromedical repatriation. He was revalidated by the GMC in November 2015. He was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 1998 at the Princess Royal University Hospital Farnborough, with particular expertise in hip replacement and revision arthroplasty. He has expertise in traumatic and degenerative conditions of the knee as well as paediatric orthopaedic conditions. He sees patients with back pain, sports injuries and Children. John is a member of several professional bodies including the Royal College of Surgeons and Royal Society of Medicine. Outside work his hobbies include sailing, skiing and cycling.
