I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). My approach to psychotherapy is collaborative, creative, evidence-based, results-oriented, flexible, and holistic. People often arrive at psychotherapy when they want to deal with problems, alleviate emotional suffering, make a change, move in a new direction, or find well-being. I try to balance acceptance and change, acknowledging that the first step towards change is accepting reality. I think the therapeutic relationship needs to be a real and genuine connection. I value being kind, genuine, thoughtful, direct, honest, and playful as a person and a therapist.I received my bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from Harvard University. I completed my clinical internship at Duke University Medical Center. I practice evidence-based psychotherapy with a compassionate, holistic and person-centered approach.
