Description

Hili Tsarfati is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Midtown, Manhattan who sees teens, adults, and couples. She specializes in both complex and acute trauma, parenting, anxiety, career counseling, and loss and grief. She works especially well with creative individuals and persons working in high demanding corporate jobs. She also runs a support group for parents of neurodiverse kids in Brooklyn. Hili takes a relational approach that includes both insight and behavioral-oriented therapies. When working with clients with a history of trauma, she also uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Before beginning to work on processing traumatic experince(s) though, she first spends time helping them build coping skills and grounding techniques. She also helps her clients better understand how past experiences have affected who they are today and why certain things trigger their symptoms. Hili always works through an aware anti-oppressive lens, adjusting the approach and pace to each individual, and their unique make-up. Hili is a culturally sensitive, accepting, empathetic, active therapist, who believes in the collaboration and the power of a genuine partnership. She completed a two-year trauma program at the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis. Outside of her private practice, she is a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor at the Blanton Peale Institute and Counseling Center. Message to clientsTherapy is not “a one size fits all” process. I am compassionate and accepting and work with you to identify and achieve your own meaningful goals. I am culturally sensitive, and adapt treatment to my clients’ personal values and make up, including gender identity, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.
