As an Occupational Therapist, I am interested in finding ways of improving people’s lives by enabling participation in meaningful, everyday activities. These activities – or ‘occupations’ - could be anything from engaging in a hobby, to doing something productive that gives satisfaction and sense of purpose. I believe in working towards an inclusive society which upholds everyone’s right to participate in a range of activities that are meaningful to them despite any barriers they face due to health, disability or social factors, and I have experience working in many different settings supporting people to do just that. I am currently working on a freelance basis offering bespoke services including: - clinical services: occupational therapy, leading individual or group therapeutic sessions in community/health/education settings - consultancy: audience development and engagement, research and evidence-based rationales, funding bid and report writing, and evaluation
