Georgina Hibbert is a Clinical Child Psychologist, specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Child and Adolescent Mental Health. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and chartered by the British Psychological Society.Dr Hibbert has worked in both Private and NHS settings and in particular has led a specialist team of psychologists within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health clinic, working with adopted and foster children. She uses treatments such as cognitive behavioural therapy and narrative approaches in her work with children and adolescents to help individuals presenting with depression and anxiety, panic attacks, OCD and phobias. She has undertaken training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy which relates to the neurological problems related to abuse, and is also trained to offer support to those suffering from attachment traumas.Georgina is able to provide specialist cognitive/psychometric assessments and diagnostic assessments for autistic spectrum disorder. She has extensive experience of working with children with attention and hyperactivity disorders and also with children who have suffered parental abuse. In addition to her work with children and their families, Georgina also offers consultation services to professionals and provides training to professional groups, as well as supervising doctoral research projects.
