Mr. George Yardy attended medical school in London, undertook research into prostate cancer at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, Oxford (for his thesis he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine - MD), and trained in urology in Cambridge and Norwich. He was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Ipswich in 2012. He has an established practice performing a wide range of urological procedures.Mr. Yardy has continued involvement in clinical research. Suitable patients are offered enrolment onto national and international trials of new treatments for prostate, bladder, and kidney cancer. He teaches medical students (Senior Lecturer at the University of East Anglia), junior doctors (Assigned Educational Supervisor for urological trainees), and is frequently invited to give lectures on aspects of urology.His specialist interests are in testing for prostate cancer, BPH prostate surgery (including Rezum and Urolift), microsurgical vasectomy reversal, female bladder problems, and pediatric surgery (including foreskin problems, groin surgery - undescended testis, hernia, hydrocoele).
